Frequently Asked Questions

Photos & Other Images

Can I have a picture in my ad?

Yes. The AdWizard walks you through the process of uploading images.

Many of the DispatchClassifieds.com packages include the opportunity to include multiple photos with your ad. If the package that you choose does not include enough images, you can upload additional images for a nominal fee.

As a reminder, images must be less than 1MB in one of the following formats: jpg, bmp, gif, tif. Uploaded images will be resized automatically to 400x400 if they exceed these dimensions. Please note that the resizing of images can distort your images. Once you have successfully uploaded your image(s) you have the ability to enter a caption for any of your images for your ad. Simply click on the edit icon to edit an image caption.

How can potential buyers see all of my photos?

Thumbnails of all uploaded photos for an ad will be displayed to viewers when they view the item details. Viewers can click a thumbnail to see an enlarged image. When a viewer conducts a search within DispatchClassifieds.com, a thumbnail of the default image, along with an ad snippet, will be displayed in the search results listing any time your item matches the search criteria. The viewer can click the item snippet or the thumbnail to see the full item details with complete text, an enlarged default image, and thumbnails of all other photos.

Can I edit the photos for my ad?

You can edit the images on your computer before uploading them to your ad. Uploaded images are automatically resized to a standard 400 pixel width and a standard sized thumbnail image is created for you. These images are not editable. Because uploaded image files reside on the DispatchClassifieds.com server, if you make a change to an image file or replace it, the newly updated or replacement file, must be uploaded to DispatchClassifieds.com in order for viewers to see the change. However, you can change the default image for your item at any time simply by designating a different uploaded image.
